Where your answers actually go

The Scope Planner and the Savings Estimator hold your answers on your own device so you do not lose them if you close the tab or move between the two tools.

• Local storage holds your planner answers so a half-finished session can be resumed. It stays on your device and is cleared by the Start over button.
• Session storage carries a short summary between the estimator, the planner and the booking page. It is cleared when you close the tab.
• The address bar never carries your answers. Scope and contact details are deliberately kept out of URL parameters so they cannot end up in browser history, shared links or server logs.
• Photographs selected in the planner are read only to show you a count. They are not uploaded.
• Nothing is transmitted until you press Send this to Latchline, Send My Question or Send these details.

What we collect, and why

• Contact details — name, email, phone. Used to reply to your enquiry and to schedule and confirm appointments.
• Property information — postal code, home type, age, conditions you describe. Used to prepare a scope and to work out whether you are in the service area.
• Your address — only for an on-site appointment, and only once one is being arranged.
• Consent — contact consent and marketing consent are recorded separately. Marketing consent is never pre-selected and never assumed from a contact enquiry.

Enquiries are kept for two years so that we can pick up a conversation that pauses over a winter. Project records are kept for the length of the workmanship warranty plus one year. You can ask for a copy of what we hold, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@latchline.example.com.

Third parties involved

• Form handling and hosting. Form submissions are processed by our hosting provider and forwarded to our email.
• Cal.com handles appointment scheduling. When you book, the details you enter into the scheduler go to Cal.com as well as to us. That is disclosed on the booking page itself rather than buried here.
• Google Fonts serves the typefaces used on this site.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, loads no advertising or tracking scripts, and embeds no third-party media other than the scheduler on the booking page. Nothing here is following you anywhere.

Photographs of your home

Assessment and project photographs are taken for your file and your report. They are not published — on this site, on social media, or anywhere else — without your written permission, and no address is ever shown alongside them. Every location on the Work Done map is placed at neighbourhood level and offset from the property.
